Debra is a lead contributor to Mosaic’s governance clients, bringing an extensive background in executive leadership, management, risk, compliance, and investment operations. Mosaic’s clients benefit from Debra’s ability to help organizations create purposeful organizational cultures that deepen resilience and grow talent for tomorrow.

Having recently retired from the California State Teachers’ Retirement System as the Chief Operating Investment Officer, Debra founded and launched Montage Careers LLC, an executive career coach firm providing guidance and personal counseling, and developing talented individuals to attain their career goals. Her firm also brings awareness to change the current state of workplace culture by promoting inclusive practices.

She currently serves as an Advisory Council Member for a global organization committed to providing capital to women and minority owned businesses. Previously, she served as an Advisory Council member for Robert F. Kennedy Workplace Dignity focusing on human rights education and social justice from 2019-2021 and a Standing Advisory Group member for the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) from 2017-2019.

Debra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, finance, and marketing from California State University, Fresno. She is a 2022 Herndon Director’s Institute Graduate. HDI is a board education organization committed to ensuring diverse representation on corporate boards.
