DAVID MAUREK

 

David is a lead contributor to Mosaic’s strategic clients, bringing over three decades of senior experience in U.S. and international public pension fund governance and practices. Mosaic’s clients benefit from David’s in-depth knowledge and experience leading pension governance, operations, strategy, and innovation.

David’s experience reflects a combination of the public and private sectors. As Chief Operating Officer of Colorado PERA, David was responsible for managing all aspects of member contacts and benefits administration. He assisted in the development of the initial board governance structure at Colorado PERA and oversaw the development and implementation of the system’s operating policies and goals, in concert with applicable laws, rules, and board-approved policies. In David’s previous role as Manager of Strategy and Innovation, he was responsible for the coordination of Colorado PERA’s strategic planning efforts and was the focal point for all special projects.

Before joining Colorado PERA in the mid-1980s, David worked in audit-related positions with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission from 1975 to 1979 and ARCO Oil and Gas Company from 1979 to 1986.

David holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from King’s College, Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, and an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado. He is a Certified Public Accountant and maintains active licenses to practice in Florida, Colorado, and Pennsylvania.
